There was so much joy during the Hartman/Huffnagle Kauai family portraits! Celebrating two (as of yet uncelebrated) 60th birthdays, two 50ths, and a retirement, there were bound to be plenty of smiles! The shore at Kealia Beach was slightly overcast but the result was soft lighting with an air of magic. 

The Kauai Family Portraits

Getting a crew this size together is always a blast! We began our Kauai family portraits focusing on each individual group while balancing full shots. Everyone in this party was easygoing and ready to simply enjoy themselves in the moment. We loved when they showed off their wild sides! Posed photos are wonderful, and there’s always a place for them, but nothing beats a portrait with energy and personality! And there was no limit with this crew! 

The families didn’t have a lot of overlapping days together, so we were sure to meet up with them on the day that worked. It’s not always possible, but we always prioritize our clients’ preferred dates. Having everyone together on one shore was like a mini party! But of course, it was! This awesome group was celebrating so much, and we’re so thrilled they asked us to help them document it! 

How amazing is this shot? We feel like this kiddo is walking into an adventure in a mystic realm! What an enchanting girl!

We’re loving these ladies and their fashion sense! With plenty of variety and beauty and so much personality, they own their confidence! This group clearly supports and loves each other, and it was a joy to capture behind the lens.
