Adventure Awaits – Kara & Dan’s Maui Venue Wedding

A Maui venue wedding doesn’t get much more magical than Kara and Dan’s beautiful celebration at Outrigger Ka’anapali Beach Resort. With Black Rock Beach sparkling nearby, thirty of their closest loved ones gathered to celebrate two hearts finding their favorite adventure buddy.

Flying in from Washington, Kara and Dan brought their love for adventure, sports, and the great outdoors to Maui. However, Hawaiʻi holds an especially meaningful place in Kara’s heart. Her dad grew up in Hawaiʻi, making the islands part of her story long before wedding planning began. Naturally, saying “I do” surrounded by Maui’s breathtaking beauty felt like a full-circle moment.

Their ceremony unfolded on a gorgeous grassy lawn overlooking the ocean, beneath a dreamy overcast sky. Meanwhile, their closest family and friends watched as Kara and Dan promised forever to each other. Their story already includes plenty of adventure, from camping trips to their memorable pumpkin patch engagement.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds explored the resort before heading onto the beach for couples portraits. Then, Maui decided to deliver one final wedding-day surprise. As if on cue, the sky burst into a spectacular sunset, creating the perfect golden backdrop for their first moments as newlyweds.

Kara’s love for cooking and hairstyling, combined with Dan’s caring nature and his role as a dad, makes their partnership feel wonderfully grounded. Together, they’re building a life filled with family, laughter, and plenty of new adventures. Ultimately, their intimate celebration proved that the most meaningful weddings aren’t about grand guest lists. Instead, they’re about sharing unforgettable moments with the people who matter most.
