The sun was gently setting over the Kona coast when we met Kyrie & Rhasean for their Big Island Photography session. This sweet couple doesn’t get in front of the camera often, and we have no idea why! They’re both so photogenic, they’d look great anywhere. But the incredible scenery of Hawaii was the perfect backdrop for their natural, romantic spirits. 

Today we’re sharing some of our favorite shots from their session as we introduce our new team of Hawaii Big Island couples photographers, wedding photographers, and family photographers on the Big Island.

Kyrie & Rhasean are lucky enough to live on the Big Island. We love working with kama’aina who want to slow down and capture certain seasons of life: young love, anniversaries, growing families, or just everyday memories of their home island. 

But we also meet lots of vacationers too. These families and couples are typically busy during their limited time on island. They’re visiting Mauna Kea, Black Sand Beach, and Volcanoes National Park. There’s only so much real estate in your itinerary, so to speak — It’s tough to slow down and get portraits. 

But that’s exactly why you should book a photo shoot. These Big Island Photography sessions allow you to stop for a bit and really take in the scenery around you. Plus, you end up with incredible images that you’ll always enjoy.

Kohanaiki Beach doesn’t have many palm trees, but it’s got incredible lava rock formations and glistening tide pools. This Kona Hawaii shoreline is a beautiful location!
