Last week we had the honor of being Addie & Christian’s Maui Elopement Photographer. This gorgeous couple chose a stylish yet simple beach ceremony with breathtaking portraits, and it was all part of a memorable getaway.

Their Journey to Maui Hawaii

Long before Addie & Christian booked us as their Maui Elopement Photographer, they were just wide-eyed teens sharing an English class.

These two met in high school, though that’s not when their romance began. Back then, they were only classmates. 

After graduation, they went their separate ways, but fate had plans to bring them back together. 

So one summer day, Christian went into the ice cream shop where Addie worked. He was planning on walking out with just a sweet treat, but he ended up with a sweetheart too. 

Turns out, they were both single now, and Addie would soon be going to the same university as Christian. What are the odds? 

And the rest is history! They’ve been together through long distance, Master’s Programs, buying homes, getting dogs, and all the struggles that people go through as young adults. But they’ve remained in love. 

Then in 2022, during a long-awaited National Park vacation, Christian proposed!

Just like their lives were filled with twists and turns, they were surprised by how their wedding planning went. See, they always thought they’d elope in Switzerland. But Maui ended up calling their name. 

You can see why! It’s like these two were made for a Maui elopement photographer, and their entire experience seemed to perfectly match their romantic and relaxed spirit. Look at more of their photos below!

Though we typically hope to see couples back for a vacation or vow renewal, we totally understand if these two jet set off to Switzerland for their next big celebration.
