The fairytale wedding of Shelby & Michael was nothing short of amazing!! We were so honored to be there for their Maui wedding photography and to capture all the special moments and details of their day!
Most girls dream of looking like a princess on their wedding day but for Shelby, it was a bit more than that. She is a huge Disney fan and her favorite movie is Beauty and the Beast! She incorporated many details in her wedding that reflected that love for Disney. She actually tried on 7 wedding dresses before discovering Disney’s newly released line of wedding dresses by Allure. Naturally, she chose the “Belle” dress and truly looked like a beautiful princess on her special day! Michael clearly would agree! It looks as if he fell in love with her all over again on their wedding day!! What a special love and connection that we got to witness! Check it out for yourself below…
Love these sweet details, especially the ring holder book! It adds a lot to a wedding photo collection when couples bring details important to them for our team to photograph. If they decide to make an album, these detail shots are a great addition to telling the story of their day. In 10 years they will look back at the photo below and go, remember when we had to wear masks everywhere!
Shelby knew she wanted Michael to see her for the first time as she walked down the aisle to him but it was also important for her to capture her brother as he saw her for the first time. We set up the perfect First Look shot to make that happen. Such a beautiful moment!!
Shelby & Michael were married at the Ka’anapali Beach Hotel which sits right in front of Ka’anapali Beach. It’s a beautiful beach but unfortunately we’re restricted from shooting on that beach due to state regulations. Thankfully Shelby & Michael are still allowed on the beach so we just snagged a few shots from the private hotel property. LOVE how they turned out!!
