Amanda and Garrett were married a year ago in Colorado. Since they didn’t get very many wedding photos they decided to fly to Maui to celebrate their one year anniversary with Amanda’s wedding dress in tow, for a Maui Couples Portrait session! We think this is a great idea, it is never too late to get the wedding photos of your dreams! We are so honored we had the opportunity to capture this occasion and watch their love grow even stronger since the day they became husband and wife. The couple shared a few intimate moments as they reflected on this past year and how grateful they are for each other! Watching them interact and just seeing the way they look at each other, was inspiring. A love like their’s is hard to come by! We think it’s especially great that they are able to share their hobbies such as doing triathlons, to keep their relationship built on hard work and always having a good time!

We love how Amanda’s fingernail polish matched Garrett’s shirt in a subtle yet purposeful way. Little details like this make all the difference in photos, without looking too staged or forced. Amanda was really excited to get some “trash the dress” photos in the water during their Maui Couples Portrait session. We are obsessed with how they turned out! There is something truly beautiful about a bride walking in the ocean wearing her wedding dress, with nothing on her mind except for her sweet husband.
