There is nothing quite like a mother-daughter relationship, one of nurturing, love, guidance, and support. So it was a privilege to capture Kholbie and Amanda’s loving bond during their Maui family portrait session. And more importantly, it was Kholbie’s 10th birthday! Their portraits turned out so endearing and adorable…

The mother-daughter duo had a special bond that was immediately obvious as they walked onto the rocky cliffs surrounding Ironwoods Beach. They were both dressed in complementary beachy outfits, which added to their shoot’s playful and whimsical atmosphere! Amanda was eager to capture genuine smiles and moments that truly captured their unique relationship and remember Kholbie’s big birthday!

After, we walked down to the beach to capture a few more loving and candid moments with the occasional splash of the waves! These two had so much fun together playing in the water…Kholbie looks so much like her beautiful mom too! Their portraits are a testament to their close-knit bond that will undoubtedly continue to grow as her little girl grows up…

Then with a quick change into matching outfits (love!), we went to Honolua Jungle for a few more tropical Maui family portraits! The light filtering through the trees was truly magical with the birdsong in the trees. Their jungle portraits feel like they truly stepped into another world, don’t you think? This will be a special mother-daughter moment that they will treasure forever!

Happy Birthday, Kholbie! We hope you both had an incredible time together! It was an honor to capture these precious mother-daughter moments… sending you lots of aloha!
