We traveled to the gentle southside for Ashley & Jesse’s spunky Kauai couples photography. Enclosed by a rocky embankment, Salt Pond Beach is a natural lagoon and the only place in Hawaii where salt is still harvested from natural salt ponds! So, of course, we were sure to make good use of the low tide and the rocky outcrops … after all, what better way to highlight our glowing couple then against the breathtaking beauty of a Kauai oceanside?!

Married for 10 years and with two kids under their wing, we had the pleasure of capturing Ashley & Jesse’s Kauai family portrait the very next day! As Hawaii portrait photographers, we cherish the relationships we build with our clients. And whenever a family or couple returns, it’s like meeting up with an old friend–we can’t wait to learn more about their story and capture it within beautiful images! At the end of our session, we moved out onto the rocky embankment for a culturally historical and one-of-a-kind setting! Not only were there salt pools like the one above, but when the tide rushed in a few minutes later, our couple was treated to a spectacular show of waterfalls!
