Bathed in sunshine with glints of aquamarine in the backdrop, it was a blissful evening for Raquel & Alex’s wedding in Oahu. The couple traveled from California and brought their closest friends and family with them to celebrate their intimate ceremony at the remote and tropical Yokohama bay.

Just steps from the gently churning tide, guests watched on as the couple exchanged their sincere vows. A hush seemed to come over the ceremony, calming the whispers of crashing waves and calling seabirds as the couple said: “I do.”

Later, we had a blast capturing the spunky poses and lighthearted laughs that followed the union! Decked in modern outfits with touches of retro and popping against the jungle green of the Waianae Mountain Range, the couple and their crew looked like they just stepped out of a classic Hawaiian postcard.

Afterward, they planned to head to the Marriott at nearby Ko’olina to keep the celebration going!

The Location

Also known as Keawaula Beach or “red bay,” the Hawaiian community named this pristine white sandy shore after the dense squid population that spawned in its waters. Rarely seen by tourists and untouched by hotels or modern development, Yokohama bay is the most remote Oahu Beach Wedding location we offer. Residing in one of the most secluded areas on the westside, this locale is often graced with serene weather and bursting sunsets.

With the resort area of Ko’olina only 15 miles away, parties have the stress-free option of avoiding the traffic rush of Waikiki and even getting a headstart on a romantic honeymoon … Which is exactly what Raquel and Matt planned to do the next day!
