While the Boyds were in Hawaii, they wanted to capture their tight-knit family dynamic! Our charming bunch has traveled many times as a group! Unfortunately, this is their last trip together. The Boyds are a family of five consisting of Grandma June, her daughter, Andrea, and grandchildren: Kate, Max, and Jake. Our delightful bunch was visiting the island from Missouri for two reasons! They were both celebrating Kate’s high school graduation and enjoying one last getaway with Grandma June! From the joyful expressions on their faces, you can tell this easygoing bunch is making the most out of this Hawaiian vacation.
Why We Love Their Maui Beach Portraits
For this session, the Boyds wanted every picture to showcase the love and joy they have while they’re with one another. Thankfully, this bunch made our task easy because of their lighthearted and enthusiastic energy! As soon as they arrived on the shore, this group was ready to have fun and be themselves! Most importantly, we captured some shots highlighting Kat and Grandma June!
Lahaina Shores Beach was the backdrop for these portraits, and this westside spot created a dreamy and tropical ambiance. You can see how this location is perfect because it’s full of enchanting scenes and has an exquisite sunset! The soaring palm trees, beige sand, and cerulean waves decorate the background beautifully. Then, the sun left a warm glow on the shore as it set on the horizon!
However, our favorite thing about these Maui beach portraits is how they’re meaningful to the Boyds. During this session, they were creating memories and commemorating a milestone! Not to mention, they also honored a loved one who passed by spreading ashes and lei flowers into the ocean. Above all, these photos are a collection of moments, and we know this precious family will treasure them forever!
