It was an absolute honor to be the photographer for the Foldy’s Maui Family Portrait session! This was their first vacation to Maui as a family, however, Kalei’s dad was born and raised here. She was really excited for her family to experience all the amazing things about the Island, that she loves so much! The entire family is proud to be Hawaiian, which we think is great! Kalei is even making sure her sons, Jaxson and Jagger, know a few Hawaiian words to keep the language alive in California. How cool is that? Little Jagger could not be any sweeter, and we were cracking up when his big brother told us how Jagger got his nickname of “Munchy”, Jaxson said, “It’s because he likes to munch on your face!” Haha, we love it! We had a blast watching Jaxson play on the beach with his dad, Bryce. It was amazing watching him take in the Island he’s heard his mom talk so much about.
The family wanted a beach that, “isn’t too windy in the late afternoon, has great light where the sky is orange and pink, doesn’t have any noticeable buildings, and has either mountain ranges or one of the Islands in the background”, and Southside Beach delivered on all accounts! We lucked out with some incredible sunset shots at the end of the evening and especially love this one of Kalei and Jaxson doing shakas in the air. So fun and cute! We are thrilled we got to know this incredible family, they are super mellow and love, love, love to have fun!
