Cheers To 15 – The Gallington’s Kauai Family Portrait

Fifteen years. That’s how long Kyli and her husband have been choosing each other, every day, every chaotic, beautiful, laugh-so-hard-you-snort moment. And what better way to celebrate that milestone than with sunshine, ocean breezes, and two wonderfully energetic boys in tow?

Their Kauai family portrait session at Anini Beach was exactly what a family vacation should be: playful, relaxed, and filled with those small, candid moments you want to bottle up forever. The boys were at that perfect age, rambunctious enough to keep everyone on their toes, but sweet enough to melt your heart in between bursts of energy. There were giggles, sandy toes, and plenty of running (lots of running). And we were right there, happily snapping away as they splashed in the shallows, chased each other along the shoreline, and occasionally paused just long enough for those golden, frame-worthy shots.

This trip was extra special for the Gallingtons. Not only was it one of their biggest adventures outside of California (mini-farm, chickens, quail, and all temporarily left behind), but it was also a chance to pause. With careers, house projects, music, art, and parenting keeping life at full speed back home, Kauai offered them something rare: uninterrupted time together. Time to reconnect, play, and simply be.

And as if nature knew, they had a beautiful rainbow for their Kauai family portrait! It was so lovely and these two look so in love even at fifteen years on…

And that’s exactly what these photos capture. Not just a beautiful backdrop (though, hello, Kauai, thank you for being ridiculously photogenic), but a family fully immersed in joy, laughter, and love. Here’s to fifteen years and many more adventures ahead! Congratulations!
