We cannot say enough about how much fun it was to get together with the Her girls for an awesome set of Maui Family Portraits! This crew was all about enjoying the moment together and having mother-daughter adventures on Polo Beach. By the end of the session, we were saying: we love her, and her, and her, and her, and her, and her (the sister back home)!
The Maui Family Portraits
We began our session in front of the rock wall on the property and worked in some of the wild greenery for texture and pop. Finding unique backdrops on Maui beaches is one of the thrills of the job! The ocean and sand are unbeatable, but we love offering clients variety whenever possible. And boy (or should we say girl?), did the Her crew meet us halfway when it came to variety! These awesome ladies were ready with poses and smiles at the drop of a hat!
The Maui sun met the energy of the day, greeting the girls with pastel goodness that amplified their gorgeous glam! Bonnie, the oldest Her sister, reached out to us to set up the session. We’d had the pleasure of capturing Bonnie’s family portraits the last time she was on Maui. And we were excited to meet her mother and sisters!
There was no limit when it came to this crew being themselves in front of the camera. In fact, that’s exactly why the Her Ohana wanted a set of Maui Family Portraits! It’s been fifteen years since their last family photos session, and now the girls’ personalities have come into full bloom, with each shining in her own special way. It was time to capture their flair in frame-worthy shots!
After an outfit change, this crew was not afraid to get wet! They were racing on the sand and frolicking in the ocean! When one sister took a spill, she got up laughing and we carried on with the good times! This family loves the water! They even had a whole pool day planned the following the day!
