Good Times – The Kulzer’s Big Island Family Portrait
The Kulzers may not have known what to expect when they booked a family portrait session at Kukio Beach, but what they got? Pure gold. Like, “this belongs in a frame above the fireplace and also possibly a movie montage” gold.
It was their first time on the Big Island (except for dad, Matt, who’s a seasoned Oahu explorer), and while Lorelei and Jackson,13 were absolute champs. Big smiles? Check. Sibling laughs that weren’t forced? Also check. And when mom Jessica, said, “Just one nice one for me?” they delivered!
This crew brought their A-game. We got posed shots that felt relaxed and effortless (a rare unicorn in the world of family portraits), but it was the candid moments that stole the show. A shared glance, a spontaneous laugh, a sandy-toed stroll, it all came together in a way that felt, dare we say, kind of magical.
Kukio Beach gave us that soft Hawaiian light, gentle waves, and palm tree dreams, but the Kulzers? They brought the heart. You could feel the love tucked into every shot, especially with that “we’re running out of these family-of-four vacations” tenderness hanging quietly in the background. And their outfits? Aloha approved!
The result? A session that was honest, joy-filled, and full of those blink-and-you-miss-it moments you’ll want to bottle up forever.
