Lucas & Kevin’s Sweet Maui Beach Proposal

A Maui Beach Proposal was already a pretty spectacular way to celebrate Lucas and Kevin’s first trip to the island. Add in a completely surprised Kevin, and suddenly Southside Beach had a front-row seat to something unforgettable. After two and a half years together, a move from DC to Chicago, and a love story with roots in Brazil and Florida, Lucas was ready for their next chapter. More importantly, he somehow managed to keep the whole thing a secret. An impressive feat, honestly.

Once Kevin realized what was happening, the happiness was impossible to miss. First came the surprise, then the huge smiles, and finally those quiet little looks that say everything without saying much at all. Afterward, they wandered along the shoreline, showed off the ring, and soaked in their newly engaged status. The palm trees, blue water, and rocky Maui coastline made a gorgeous backdrop. Still, Lucas and Kevin were easily the best part of every frame.

As the sun dipped lower, the whole session felt relaxed, romantic, and completely genuine. There were sweet embraces, plenty of laughter, and even a celebratory lift on the beach. Nothing felt overly posed or pretentious, which was exactly what Lucas hoped for. Instead, their Maui proposal portraits captured the real emotion of the moment.
