We are always honored when we have the opportunity to take a couple’s Maui Elopement Photography. And working with Monica and Tomas was no exception! After getting engaged in a bat cave on an excursion in Mexico, these two decided to take an untraditional route by not telling anyone (except their immediate family) about the proposal or wedding. So they are especially excited for breathtaking photos to share with family and friends, since most of them know nothing!
Choosing Hawaii
Monica has always wanted to visit Hawaii because of its beautiful culture and picturesque natural wonders. Her older brother, visited Maui this past summer and told our couple that it is one of the most beautiful places he has ever travelled to. So they knew they wanted to get maui’d in Maui!
Monica and Tomas were radiating on their special day and Monica was so beautiful head to toe! Her wedding gown is from a local Indian store in New Jersey. Our bride’s parents emigrated from India when they were newlyweds to provide a better life for their children, so she wanted to embrace her roots with a white Indian dress. Which we loved!
When it came time for wedding portraits, at first we tried to stay clear of the waves. Then when some big waves came Monica and Tomas were so great about just having fun and getting in the water a bit! It really made for some romantic shots where they both were enjoying each other and the beautiful wedding they had.
It’s easy to see, these newlyweds have so much love for each other and cannot wait to start the next chapter of their lives together. Thank you, Monica and Tomas, for sharing your special day with us!
