With a chance encounter at the hospital almost 4 years ago, Kaimi & Bula set into motion the groundwork leading up to their gorgeous Maui wedding!

Bula was visiting his sister who just had a baby, and Kaimi was the hot nurse he had always dreamt of marrying! No joke, he always dreamt he would marry a nurse! And Kaimi always dreamt she would marry a man who can fish…. so I guess you could say it was meant to be and the two have been inseparable ever since.

Ka’imi & Bula’s ceremony plans were thrown for a loop about 7 months ago when Covid began. Since then it has been adjusting and planning and pretty much just rolling with the punches. We photographed Kaimi’s twin sister’s Maui wedding about 5 years ago and we had such a blast. They have such a sweet family and it was great seeing so many familiar faces! It’s such an honor to be able to photograph both weddings for these sweet twin girls!

We began the day with Bula and his crew with some getting ready coverage. These handsome guys were so much fun! We love the navy vests, bowties and suspenders!! Whoever chose these outfits did such a great job!!

The Olinda Olive Orchard was the beautiful setting for their special day! It was our first wedding at this gorgeous spot and we were completely enamored with everything about it! It sits on the side of Haleakala is surrounding by lush greenery.  We took full advantage of all the beauty it had to offer. 

Kaimi and Bula planned a drive in wedding so that all their friends and family could join them. The county restrictions were lifted just days before the wedding but for the safety of everyone, they still had most of their guests pull in just behind the chairs and remain in their cars. At the announcement of Husband & Wife, all their friends and family honked their horns and cheered!

Kaimi & Bula are both very family oriented. They knew they wanted to have a family one day and felt they weren’t getting any younger so they made the decision to start a family of their own. Look at that sweet little face!! We hope there are many more where he came from!
