Last week we got to be the McCarran’s Maui Family Photographer! This was a true honor because we know how meaningful these vacations are.
For the McCarrans, it was their last big vacation with their sons as children. Yes, the boys are already grown up and taller than Dad, but these are their final summer breaks before Jacob begins his career path and Max heads off to college.
It’s emotional, for sure. But also so sweet. And for us, getting to capture these core memories is why we love our job.
So without further ado, we present to you… The McCarran’s Family Portraits, captured in Maui, Hawaii!
Hues of Blues and Light Gold Sand
The McCarrans visited us from Pennsylvania and were having a great time on the island. It was their first time on Maui, but they had seen the Big Island and Kauai before. So it felt somewhat familiar to them – the tropical breezes and beautiful ocean views. But it was also new. A new island, new adventures. Plus, their sons are older now, which means vacations are more relaxed.
The family is always drawn to the ocean. Dad Bill grew up on the shores of Boston, and Jacob followed in his footsteps and went to college there too. He swims competitively at his university, so he’s a waterman, just like his Dad.
Max will be going to college in a couple of years, and we’ll have to wait and see if he ends up near the shore. In the meantime, he’s keeping Michelle and Bill on their toes with his lively spirit and endless jokes.

A Permanent Souvenir
Michelle was happy that her husband and sons were all excited about their Maui portrait session. She wanted to capture this sweet time in their lives and have a “permanent souvenir” in the form of gorgeous, professional photos.
We love that! Your memories from Maui are everlasting, so why not capture these memories through everlasting photos?
We loved being Maui Family Photographer and are so excited to share some of their beach portraits!
Mahalo Michelle, Bill, Jacob, and Max! We loved spending this gorgeous evening with you and can’t wait to see you in Hawaii again soon!
