This was such a fun Maui Family Portrait session at Southside Beach! The Means are an awesome local family who owns Alakai Electric, the parents Roberta and Mike are both such amazing people! Karma (the owner of Karma Hill Photography) met Roberta as a part of her kid’s school PTA. Roberta and her husband, Mike have put in hundreds of hours volunteering into the school to make it awesome. Let’s give them a big “Mahalo!”. Families like this help keep the Aloha strong on Maui, and we could not be more grateful for their service! We have no doubt with examples like Roberta and Mike, their sons will grow up to be incredible members and leaders of society. Make your parents proud boys, we’re sure they already are so proud of you!
Their coordinating outfits were perfect for a day at the beach. We love how Mike wore a blue shirt to break up the pink and white, so clever! Blue acts as a secret neutral and works great for a Maui Family Portrait session because it pulls the colors from the clear blue ocean and Maui sky. The stripes on their youngest’s shirt aren’t too busy but add a nice element of dimension to these photos. Well done Means Family! Mike had a blast messing around with his sons at the beach, check out those jumping photos! Their oldest knows how to get serious air! The family ended their time with us by playfully splashing each other in the water, no one left the beach dry! Those are the kind of moments we love capturing for a family to remember over and over again.
