RJ had it set in his heart that he would propose to Erin on their recent trip to Maui! On top of Haleakala Crater, no less! We were delighted to help RJ plan the big moment just as the sun was setting. Our photographer pretended to be a causal hiker, enjoying the scenery, yet with a watchful eye ready to snap their Maui proposal portrait. And then, when the moment was right, RJ got down on one knee despite the rocky terrain and asked Erin the biggest question yet! And she said yes, of course!
Despite the cold chill, our happy pair was full of warm love at the moment of their Maui proposal portrait. These two love adventure and exploring new places together, so it’s no wonder Haleakala National Park seemed like an epic spot to pop the question! Towering over 10k feet with miles of trails, the extinct volcano is one of the best spots on the island to catch the sunset. Luckily for this special moment, the summit was clear and crisp.
The lunar landscape created some stunning photographs, with the setting sun casting a golden light on our newly engaged pair! Erin had no clue that this moment was happening, so thankfully, we were there to capture this precious moment of their adventurous love story! Their greatest adventure has just begun…
