Returning to the shore where they married, the Shipps were thrilled to bring their children to DT Fleming Beach and capture Family Portraits in Maui. The day was bright and vibrant with a rolling ocean and plenty of rustic backdrops. Wearing shades of pastel and contagious smiles, the Shipps were filled to the brim with laughter and energy. 

We began our session on the manicured lawn and transitioned to the jungly shoreline of DT Fleming. Golden sand, ocean-smoothed boulders, and giant pieces of driftwood set the stage, with roaring waves breaking in the backdrop. The rugged setting was a gorgeous juxtaposition for this sweet family.

As we were capturing our Family Portraits in Maui, Dad would periodically get a distant look in his eyes as he watched the waves, commenting that he wished we brought his board!

We love capturing Family Portraits in Maui, especially when we have the privilege of witnessing a story evolve. From “I do” to fixing boo-boos, at times, Mom and Dad were visually overcome with a giddy feeling of awe.

Years ago, they had exchanged vows on these very grains of sand, and now their children were running mini marathons on the shore! It was truly an honor to be part of this story as it comes full circle. Keep scrolling for more of this beautiful family!
