Our lovely pair was staying in Honolulu — making Wai’alae Beach Park the perfect location for this session. When we arrived, we noticed how impeccable the scene looked! The morning sun was vibrant; this natural light enhanced the brilliance of every shot. Then the gorgeous palm trees, cerulean waves, and lush greenery created the perfect background! Most importantly, we love how few clouds are covering the blue sky.
Why They Took Oahu Couples Portraits
Sydney and Patrick were visiting the island from Phoenix, Arizona. However, this getaway isn’t their first time in Hawaii! Sydney has been to Kauai, Maui, and Oahu for family vacations. In 2018, our charming couple went to Kona to watch Sydney’s sister compete in the Ironman World Championship! Since this destination has a special place in their hearts — they knew they couldn’t leave without taking portraits. Before this session, Sydney told us she was excited to take pictures with her husband in one of her favorite places!
Our Couple’s Story
This delightful duo’s story began when they met in high school! Yet, they didn’t start dating until they were in college. After graduating, they got married in February of 2020. Sydney and Patrick had perfect timing because it was right before COVID; they had all their loved ones in attendance! Unfortunately, they had to cancel their honeymoon in the Bahamas. Thankfully, they made up for it last year by taking an incredible trip to Italy and Spain! They came to Hawaii to soak up the warm temperatures and tropical sun.
