Back to Island Time – The Yu’s Maui Family Portraits

Maui family portraits feel even more meaningful when they celebrate both legacy and love, and the Yu family brought all of that and more to Polo Beach. Visiting from New York as returning clients, this session marked a beautiful anniversary for the parents, and you could feel that depth in every moment.

Mom’s flowing blue dress stood out against a sea of soft whites, creating the dreamiest contrast as the family gathered along the shoreline, framed by swaying palms and warm sand. The kids laughed easily, staying close, while the parents shared those quiet, knowing smiles that only come from years of building a life together.

There was a natural rhythm to their time together, moving from playful moments on the rocks to gentle walks along the water as the light softened. Dad lifted the kids with ease, and everyone leaned into each other like second nature, while the ocean stretched endlessly behind them.
