The Anglins were visiting the island from Knoxville, Tennessee! Since Catherine and her husband, Brian, honeymooned in Maui in 2003, this destination has a special place in their hearts. Then our beautiful duo returned in 2009; this trip was when we had the honor of meeting them for the first time! It’s been a few years since we’ve seen Catherine and Brian, but we were thrilled when they contacted us for another session. This time, they wanted to take family photos with their eleven-year-old daughter!
Why We Love Their Maui Family Portraits
Before this session, Catherine told us her husband and daughter rarely ever wish to take group pictures. However, we think they should get more portraits photographed! Not only is our charming bunch dressed in beachy chic attire, but they’re also wearing joyful expressions! Throughout their sunset time, our adventurous family was relaxed and had fun with their poses. They even got their feet wet in the calm waves! Above all, we can’t wait to see which images are this gorgeous trio’s favorites because we have a few of our own!
Lahaina Shores Beach set the scene for this session, and gracing us was a breathtaking sunset! As we began capturing these Maui family portraits, the sun was high in the sky. Its luminous rays made every natural hue vibrant — creating a stunning balance of colors. Then once the sun began to lower, it left a golden glow in its wake. This warm radiance made every photo look dreamy!
