These family portraits in Maui are a must-see. Totally scenic, super stylish, and as sweet as can be. Grandparents are having a moment right now. Ok, grandparents have always been the highlight of our work, but we’re seeing them celebrated more and more. 

Roy is an all-star grandpa and recently became a great grandpa! He got promoted when Janelle and Eric welcomed baby Troy into the family. And the new addition meant a new family vacation was in order. 

So the Hong-Yee crew packed their bags, headed to Maui, and enjoyed the most memorable family vacation. Check out some of their Maui beach photos below!

Shades of Sage for Portraits in Maui

We love the looks this family is serving! They chose sage and neutral tones for their Maui beach portrait attire, which looked terrific at Baby Beach. 

Baby Beach in Lahaina is an excellent location for Portraits in Maui, whether you bring along a baby or not. The layers of palm trees against the black lava rock add a rich depth to the photos, and the calm water reflects the sky beautifully. 

Since the  Hong-Yee family is such a stylish crew, they knew how to coordinate their outfits and the scenery. It’s not easy to plan everyone’s wardrobes for Family Portraits in Maui, but it’s so worth it.

Shining a Light on Us – Maui Morning Photos

Janelle and her family booked a Maui Mini Session with us. This package lets us capture a few great morning photos for a family. It’s a great option if you’re bringing along little ones (like cute cute Troy) who maybe can’t handle a full hour of photography.

Plus, you don’t have to spend all morning at the beach for your portraits in Maui. Get some fantastic photos of your family, then head off for breakfast and time at the pool.

We could have spent hours with this photogenic group! But as the sun became brighter and the day greeted us, we sent the Hong-Yee ohana off to enjoy the rest of their vacation. 

And now, as they return home to San Fransisco, they can still get a small taste of Maui’s magic through their family portraits!
