A Helping Hand ~ Danae & Matt’s Maui Maternity Portraits

We had the best time taking these Maui Maternity Portraits! Danae and Matt are expecting parents but this wasn’t a typical maternity shoot. After wanting and trying to have a child for years they decided to become parents with help from Danae’s cousin who is their surrogate mama and is 15 weeks pregnant. They couldn’t be more excited for this new chapter, especially with all the love and support that surrounds them!
After scanning Pinterest, these two came with lots of fun props and ideas for poses for their Maui Maternity Portraits. We love getting creative during our sessions, so this was a blast for us! They even brought a custom sign with the perfect passage to describe their situation and the gratitude in their hearts. So sweet! Plus how fun is this blue powder they used to announce the gender of their baby? Such a cool idea and it made for some great photos! It was especially fun when they ended up in the water at the end of our time together for a few playful intimate photos. The chemistry between this couple is so strong it was almost tangible! One thing’s for sure, their son will be raised with lots of love! Thank you, Danae and Matt, for sharing this exciting morning with Karma Hill Photography.
