Senior portraits are such an important time in one’s life to capture because they are the LAST professional portraits before your kids go from teenagers to adults! Ugh, that’s a scary thought! It’s a big change and it is so worth documenting, especially in a beautiful location like Maui. If you’re forced to take your senior portraits (we usually have to force the guys) then who wouldn’t want to take their Senior Portraits in Maui?
Evan is a soccer player and such a cool kid! He was very laid back during his session and wanted to go for a candid vibe with plenty of smiling pictures in the mix because he knew that is what his mom would want. Mom gave her boys curly locks that they both were proud of. Wouldn’t you agree those locks looked great in these photos?
Evan has the perfect mix of easy-going aloha vibes with a professional attitude. We try really hard to get to know the seniors when photographing them so we can really have their personalities shine through in their portraits. It’s so important for capturing relaxed and emotive images filled with moments that remind family and friends of all the great things their graduating senior has grown to be.
Evan’s older brother Caleb had his senior portraits done in Maui a couple years ago as well! We even recreated a similar shot so that Mom could have both boys in the same spot at the same age!
Photographer Tenessa said “I enjoyed showing them the backlight photos on the back of the camera, I knew they would love the unique lighting DT Fleming has to offer with the ocean mist illuminating in the background.”
We had such a blast with you Evan, and really enjoyed meeting you Bakken family!! We hope to see you all again in Maui next year!!
