For the last twenty-three years, the Fontaines have taken an annual trip to Hawaii. Whenever they visit, they stay at the Mana Kai Resort and make sure to soak up the warm weather. However, while they were vacationing here this year, they decided to take some family portraits in Maui! The Fontaines are six people visiting the island from St. Paul, Alberta, Canada. This charming bunch is a family of four with two adult children, a grandfather, and a great-aunt! Two of this party are former pharmacists, one currently owns a brewery, and one was a portrait photographer!
Why We Adore Their Family Portraits in Maui
Since a member of this family has a background in photography, the Fontaines knew what they wanted! They were looking forward to leaving this session with group shots and many different photo combinations. Everyone was enthusiastic and cheerful when they arrived at the sandy shore. Their lighthearted energy made capturing all the varying dynamics effortless! Not to mention, in every photo, you can see their joyful smiles. There’s no doubt they’ve been savoring the time they get to spend in this tropical paradise!
Southside Beach was the backdrop for these family portraits in Maui. This location provided many breathtaking landscapes! In some pictures, you’ll see the beige shore and sapphire waves. Then in others, the background is the lush trees and deep green foliage! Above all, our favorite thing about this spot is how dreamy the sunset looks! This session was during golden hour, so the sun left a radiant glow on the shore. Then as the sun continued to set, a spectrum of soft hues decorated the sky!
