We usually play the part of “casual beachgoer” for our surprise Maui Proposal Portraits, waiting for the big moment to happen to capture it from a safe hideaway. But this proposal was different! Eric knew Gabby would realize something was up the second he asked her to get dressed up and “photo-ready.” So he arranged a group portrait with their closest friends… with an added surprise!

The Maui Proposal Portraits

We met up with the whole group on the shore of Polo Beach. Eric introduced himself casually, and our photographer knew exactly what to do. The session began with couples shots, and everyone in the crew did an amazing job and looked fantastic behind the lens! Then it was Eric and Gabby’s turn. We slowly led them towards the lava outcropping, the perfect and intimate setting for a certain important question. 

While Gabby’s back was turned, Eric dropped to his knee and took out the ring. Her reaction was everything! When asked why he wanted to capture this moment with a set of Maui proposal portraits, Eric replied, “Having that moment caught on camera, I know it will mean the world to her. I know it will be a moment in time she will want to hold onto and cherish for years and years to come!”

And we agree 110 percent! We know these cute and adorable images will be framed and delighted over! Keep scrolling for more!
