We spent a beautiful morning with the Hanson family on their vacation with their two kids! Brittany and Thomas were married on Maui years ago, so this felt extra special as they wanted to share our wonderful island with their kids, Charlotte and Luke. Our Maui family photographer met them right on the beach first thing in the morning to capture this special getaway… keep reading to see how beautiful their portrait session turned out!

Share The Island With Their Kids

If you’re wondering where is this magical place, it’s Baby Beach! A stunning beach located on Maui’s west side with gentle waters and ample tropical scenery along the shoreline. Plenty of palm and coconut trees are also along the coastline, making it look like a scenic postcard! Being a shallow beach, it’s an ideal spot to play and wade in the water with little kids. So it’s appropriately named, too, as it’s a local favorite for families with youngsters like the Hansons!

The Hansons had a golden morning, as you can see! Lighting in a portrait session with a Maui family photographer can vary throughout the day. Mornings are generally bright and vibrant in color, just like their sweet family portraits… We love the beach, especially for a family portrait location with little kids. A little sand, sun, and ocean bring out their fun and playful sides! It’s a relaxed and carefree setting, perfect for little ones to explore with awe and curiosity. It was a joy to capture these precious moments for the Hansons!
