A vacation to Hawaii is a fabulous way to celebrate a big milestone birthday, like 40! Maybe it’s the swaying palm trees, plumeria, or the rhythm of the waves; there is no doubt there is something magical about Hawaii! The Johansens love the relaxed spirit of the island and booked a Maui family portrait to celebrate this big birthday! They had a fabulous time together, and these portraits are just a few memories they will take home in their hearts….

Happy Family Memories

Despite the overcast skies at Baby Beach, our sweet family brought cheer and playful energy to their Maui family portrait session! We love the matching looks between mom and daughter, father and son. There were many sweet and tender moments throughout their morning session. There’s nothing as sweet like celebrating your birthday with those you love the most!

One reason why we love this beach for a portrait session is its calm and gentle waters. The Johansens were happy to get a little wet, even if it was a little tricky with a pair of crutches! (Thankfully, it was as calm as it was that morning, almost like a lake!) But their willingness and easygoing attitudes make their family portraits a joy to capture…
