Kelly and Dan had planned on a grand Banff wedding, but due to COVID, they shifted gears to an intimate wedding in their hometown followed by a Hawaii vacay and Maui Honeymoon portraits! Our session began beneath the saturated greens of Honolua Jungle and wrapped up against the golden glow of Ironwoods Beach.
It was a joy to work with Kelly and Dan. They were easygoing and up for anything. When the rain poured down on us in Honolua Jungle, we quickly decided to postpone the beach pics and catch up with them under clearer weather. It was a great decision! The result was a collection of mysterious and moody lighting in the jungle and warm and vibrant shots against the ocean!
Kelly and Dan are an adventurous couple who love to hike and stay active. Their honeymoon goal was simply to relax and indulge in the little moments. Later this year, they look forward to celebrating their union with friends and family!
Ironwoods Beach sits on the most eastern face of Maui. This creates dynamic sunsets beyond the cliff-lined coast. We love how the peaches and cream effect illuminates the sand and glistening sea. Kelly and Dan seem right at home on the shore, but then again, of course they do, because they’re with each other! Just look at those genuine glances of love.
Mahalo nui loa, Kelly and Dan, for trusting us with your Maui Honeymoon Portraits. We had a wonderful time getting to know you. Thank you for your flexibility with the weather and your adventurous spirit! We wish you all the sunshine in the years ahead!
