Continuing Our Story – The Ligons Maui Family Portrait

There are places that stitch themselves into your story, and for Kyle and Hannah, that place is Maui. Their Maui family portrait is just part of that story. Not just because it’s got the kind of scenery that makes you question if someone’s secretly Photoshopping real life (spoiler: they’re not), but because it’s been the backdrop of so many of their most meaningful moments. From their first island getaway in 2016, to their dreamy Olowalu wedding in 2018, to this very moment—celebrating their anniversary with their greatest adventure yet: their daughter, Camden.

Let’s talk about Camden. Two and a half years old, full of sunshine, and the undisputed light of their lives. She’s at that age where everything is wonder and Maluaka Beach? A toddler paradise. Soft sand to sink toes into, waves to giggle at, and the kind of breeze that makes every candid moment feel like a scene from a movie. It was so sweet to see this family moment…

Maui Means So Much To Us

It was pure magic to witness the Ligons step in front of the lens again, but this time with a tiny, twirling third star in their constellation. We’ve had the honor of photographing their engagement and wedding! So this full-circle moment, returning to the island as a family, felt nothing short of poetic. A soft, golden light blanketed the beach, the kind of sunset that seems to wrap around you like a warm hug.

Camden, of course, stole the show. There were sand-sprinkled giggles, unexpected kisses, and moments that ended in pure joy. And Kyle and Hannah? They were as in love and radiant as ever, maybe even more so, now that their love has multiplied.

And that sunset? It delivered. Think cotton candy skies melting into gold, ocean waves catching the last light like sequins. One of those evenings where you don’t just take photos, you time travel. You breathe it in, and years from now, when Camden’s taller and bolder, and those tiny footprints are long gone from the sand, they’ll look back at these images and feel this moment all over again.
