A Very Happy Yes – Matthew & Kassidy’s Big Island Proposal

Matthew and Kassidy’s Big Island proposal at Kukio Beach felt like the universe showing off its impeccable timing. The two met in college in 2022, and since then, their relationship has grown through new adventures, shared milestones, and moving in together last year. Along the way, forever stopped feeling far away and started feeling like the most natural next step.

With their four-year anniversary just around the corner, Matthew brought Kassidy to the shores of the Big Island. There, he asked the question that would change everything. Immediately, her reaction said it all. Hands flew to her face, happy tears followed, and soon she folded into his arms after saying yes. Pure joy, officially unlocked.

Of course, the ring deserved a moment of its own. Unique, beautiful, and completely worthy of a close-up, it sparkled perfectly in Kukio’s soft ocean light. Afterward, Matthew and Kassidy wandered from the sandy shoreline to the dramatic lava rocks. Along the way, they laughed, danced, kissed, and soaked up every second of being newly engaged. By sunset, every photo seemed to say, “Wait, did that really just happen?”

Next summer, Matthew and Kassidy hope to celebrate their wedding back home in Washington or Oregon. However, Hawaii will always hold the beginning of this chapter in their story.

Congratulations, you two! We loved capturing the surprise, the tears, the gorgeous ring, and all those just-engaged smiles. Most of all, we hope this unforgettable evening at Kukio Beach is only the beginning of a lifetime of adventures together.
