Celebrating twenty years of marriage, four kids, and their first time in Hawaii, Mike and Mandy captured the special moment with Oahu Couples Portraits! The morning was bright and vibrant and Waiʻalae Beach put on a great show filled with sparkling water and swaying palms. Mike and Mandy’s personalities were simply incredible! They came to enjoy their session and capture gorgeous photos, and that’s exactly what they did! 

The Oahu Couples Portraits

Twenty years of marriage means a Platinum Anniversary and endless cherished memories. Mike and Mandy have built a beautiful life together, and we were thrilled to help them frame Oahu Couples Portraits that reflect it! We loved how naturally they fit together, never hesitating to pull the other close and offer comfort and an encouraging word. At times it was hard to believe these two weren’t honeymooners! 

Mike and Mandy made themselves right at home on the oceanfront, getting their feet wet and simply enjoying the moment. The ocean was particularly clear during our session, with highlights of aquamarine and mosaic light. Waiʻalae Beach featured a variety of backdrops, from sweet little islands of twin palms to seemingly endless stretches of white sand. But the best feature of the beach that day? These two adorable lovebirds! 

Mike and Mandy have taken a few family photos but never had the option to do so as a couple. Couples’ portraits are a great way to freeze a special moment in time. It’s not just the kids who are growing up, your relationship is too!

Mandy said, “20 years from now, I want to reflect on these photos and remember how good life was. Our wedding photos turned out terrible and I feel like we get a do-over all these years later.” And that’s exactly what we felt this session was! Mike and Mandy’s love was just as endearing as a couple who literally just said “I do.”

It was an honor to help them build a photo collection that reflects a fraction of their beautiful love story.
