Have you ever seen a sunset that stops you in your tracks? The Shi family certainly has, and they can attest that Maui sunsets are the most beautiful in all of Hawaii! This family of four loves coming to Hawaii each year and rotates between Kauai, Maui, and Big Island. But for this year’s family vacation, they wanted to create a lasting memory by capturing their love for each other with a Maui family photography session with us!

So, they decided to book a family photo session to capture their love while their kids are still young. They wanted candid and posed photos, and they had so much fun during the shoot! We loved their aloha prints, and they felt right at ease with each other, playing around and showing off their silly moments. You’ll love how playful and joyful they are in these portraits below!

Playing On The Beach

With two kids ages 11 (Jaymee) and 7 (Chase), the Shi family wanted candid and posed photos that would capture their personalities while they are still young. And boy, did they have fun! From the moment we met them, it was clear that this family was full of love, laughter, and playful energy. All of the moments from their Maui family photography session capture their love and some fun in the sun!

We loved their aloha spirit and how at ease they felt with each other – playing around and showing off their silly moments at Southside Beach! It brought us great joy to be able to capture these playful interactions and their strong family bond on camera. Thankfully, no one got too wet!

The sunset colors in Maui, as the Shi family pointed out, are simply the best! And the island showed off again for our beautiful family! With the stunning hues of orange and pink reflecting off the ocean, it was a breathtaking backdrop for their family photos. These moments captured in time will be cherished memories for years to come…
