Summer Plans – The Tiong’s Maui Family Portrait
Twenty years of marriage. Three growing boys. A love story that started back in 8th-grade art class (how sweet is that?) That’s the magic recipe the Tiong family brought with them to Southside Beach for their Maui family portrait session.
This trip was full of milestones: an upcoming senior year for Andrew, high school beginnings for Noah, and fourth-grade adventures ahead for little Luke. And while life is busy and full and always moving a little too fast, this session was their chance to hit “pause” and capture who they are, right now, in this beautiful season of life.
Southside Beach delivered its usual perfection, soft waves, golden sand, and that glowy Maui light that makes every moment feel extra dreamy. The boys laughed, played, and (much to everyone’s delight) had fun with the photoshoot. It wasn’t about perfect poses; it was about real smiles, playful moments, and candid snapshots that freeze time just long enough for mom and dad to hold onto these fleeting days.
Ten years ago, Mike and Nada visited Maui with their first two little boys, back when sandy toes and wide eyes were still new. This time, their youngest got to experience Hawaii for the first time, making the trip feel even more special.
The Tiongs reminded us that you don’t need a huge reason for family photos. Sometimes the fact that life is flying by, and your kids keep growing, is reason enough. And now, they have a collection of beautiful images to hold onto long after the waves wash their footprints away.
