Second Beginnings – Umang & Kiran’s Maui Proposal Portrait

This Maui proposal portrait at Ironwoods Beach was basically romance showing off. Umang planned the sweetest surprise for Kiran, complete with a vibrant circle of tropical flowers tucked into the sand. Then, with the ocean stretching behind them and Maui’s soft evening light doing its thing, he asked the question that changed everything. Kiran said yes, and suddenly there were happy tears, huge smiles, a gorgeous new ring, and approximately zero interest in pretending to be calm about any of it.

Their story, however, started years before this perfect Maui evening. Umang and Kiran first matched on Hinge in 2020 and shared ice cream on their first date. Life eventually pulled them in different directions, but apparently their story had only reached an intermission. In 2024, they found their way back to each other through Instagram. This time, the chemistry was still there, the timing finally worked, and their second chance quickly turned into something much bigger.

Perhaps the best part is that Umang, a life insurance agent, originally tried to sell Kiran a policy. Somewhere along the way, she managed to sell him on forever instead. Honestly, we think she got the better deal. After celebrating inside their colorful flower circle, the newly engaged pair wandered along Ironwoods Beach, danced by the water, and soaked up one dreamy Maui sunset.

Congratulations, Umang and Kiran! Your second chance turned into the beginning of something pretty incredible.
