Let’s begin with this: sometimes, love doesn’t tiptoe in, it charges in wearing gym shoes, carrying bubble tea, and saying “let’s stay up ‘til dawn on FaceTime.” That’s Carley and Robert’s brand of love, warm, playful, resilient, and oh-so-swoonworthy. Their Big Island wedding photography at the Fairmont Orchid was not just capturing their celebration; it was a portrait. Of timing. Of tenacity. And yes, of true love.
These two met the modern way (thank you, dating apps), but their connection was old school magic. Within hours of matching, they were face-to-face, chatting and giggling like they’d known each other forever. That night, they stayed up until morning. That night. From there, it was bubble tea, bar hopping, gym dates, and building a beautiful life with Luna, Robert’s daughter, and their shared dreams of seeing the world.
Their love and support over the ups and downs are the stuff true love is made of. So when their wedding day finally arrived on the Big Island, it wasn’t just romantic, it was sacred. And we were honored to capture their beautiful day!

Their day began with warm golden light streaming into their suite as Carley slipped into her lace gown (the kind that makes you go “gasp” and immediately need to know where she got it). Her glow wasn’t just from the makeup, this was joy. Gratitude. Maybe a little adrenaline.

And Rob? Dapper doesn’t cover it. He looked strong, proud, and completely smitten waiting for his beautiful bride. Their oceanfront ceremony at Fairmont Orchid had a dreamy circle arch simple, striking, and framed by the deep blue Pacific. The breeze flirted with Carley’s veil as they said “I do,” and the sun, as if it knew this was a big moment, bathed everything in gold.

Afterward, their portraits felt like something out of a cinematic love story: laughing, embracing, and truly stepping into their future together. Their emotions are fully etched on their faces. They soaked in the moment and held each other like they truly knew the value of that embrace.

And let’s talk about their Big Island wedding photography for a second, because this wasn’t just any wedding. It was Big Island magic, and we knew we had to capture every drop of it. The way the sunset hit the lava rocks just right. The backlight highlighting their first kiss. The laughter between them that somehow felt louder against the quiet hush of the ocean. Every element, sunlight, sea breeze, lush tropical greenery, the stunning coastal ceremony, screamed Big Island wedding, and we were honored to document it all.

Carley and Robert, thank you for letting us witness a love so full of joy, survival, and deep appreciation. Your story is proof that the best love stories aren’t flawless, they’re forged through devotion, and made all the more beautiful because of it. Congratulations, lovebirds. We’re so glad we got to be part of your incredible Big Island beginning!
