* Due to state permitting laws our photographers are not allowed to join you on the beach for photos. They can take photos from the resort property on the grass of you on the beach. You also have access to the lush tropical old growth grounds of the Outrigger for photos after.

All beaches in Hawaii are public (except a few on Oahu and the Big Island), so some beachgoers may be around during your proposal. We select less crowded locations, but if privacy is essential, consider booking a private venue package, available only on Maui and the Big Island. Private venues offer beautiful, secluded settings and additional decor options.

Do you offer floral arrangements?
Yes, on most islands (except Kauai), we offer an upgraded beach package that includes a flower circle. See our Romantic Beach Proposal Package for more details.

Can we include a “Marry Me” sign?
“Marry Me” signs are available only at venue locations on Maui and the Big Island. Due to state laws, beach setups like signs or chairs are not permitted on the sand.

What if it rains?
Hawaiian weather forecasts can be unpredictable, so we typically make weather decisions on the day of the proposal. If it’s raining, we’ll attempt to relocate to a nearby dry area. If that’s not possible, we’ll do our best to reschedule.

How will I know where to go for the proposal?
We provide a Google link to the location and a beach map to guide you to the right spot. Your photographer will also stay in touch via text on the day, ensuring you find the perfect spot to propose.

How should I propose?
Option 1: “Ninja” Style
In this approach, our photographer stays discreet, either hidden behind foliage or blending in as a beach-goer on a towel. You’ll walk your partner to the pre-determined spot, and our photographer will capture the proposal candidly. After you’ve had a few moments to savor the experience, the photographer will come over, introduce themselves, and continue with an engagement portrait session.
Option 2. Surprise Proposal Portrait
Tell your partner you’re having a couples’ portrait session during your visit. About 10 minutes in, the photographer will position you behind your partner, allowing you to get down on one knee. When they turn around, you’ll be ready to 'pop the big question'. This option is perfect if you want to keep the proposal a complete surprise and naturally bring your partner to the location.

What time of day is best to propose?
We recommend sunset sessions for a romantic ambiance, perfect for celebrating afterward at a nearby restaurant after the big moment.
