Sara and Scott’s Maui wedding photography feels like a love story stitched together with sunshine, ocean breezes, and nearly 13 years of devotion. Their relationship started in the most ordinary of places, a supermarket job while studying nearly 14 years ago, yet it grew into something extraordinary. Scott introduced himself, friendship blossomed, and love followed naturally. And then, last Christmas, he handed Sara an origami rose with the words “Sara, will you marry me” written across the petals. Her answer? A perfect, “Yes, please!”
Originally, Maui was meant to be their honeymoon destination. Sara had dreamt of Hawaii since childhood, picturing palm trees and golden sand. But when she discovered beach weddings were possible, she and Scott realized this wasn’t just a dream honeymoon spot, it was their dream wedding spot. A celebration that was romantic, simple, and beautifully “them.” Keep reading to see more highlights of their dream day!

Their ceremony at Po‘olenalena Beach was just that: serene, intimate, and breathtaking. The soft Hawaiian light wrapped around them like a blessing, while the ocean waves rolled in peacefully in the background. Sara looked radiant holding her colorful tropical bouquet, her white gown flowing effortlessly against the lava rocks. Scott, with his maile lei draped proudly across his shoulders, couldn’t stop smiling. The two of them together, holding hands, exchanging rings, declaring their vows, and walking barefoot along the shore, looked every bit the picture of love fulfilled.

Their Maui wedding photography are a reflection of their story: authentic and heartwarming. There’s the joy in their laughter, the tenderness in their quiet embraces, and the unmistakable spark of two people who found their forever in each other. And yes, while their cat Moira couldn’t make it to Maui, she remains the heart of their little family back home, a family now made even more official!

Golden light in Maui wedding photography has a way of slowing time, making moments feel eternal. And that’s exactly what happened here. Every look, every laugh, every gentle kiss was accentuated by that radiant Maui sunset. It turned their beach wedding into something more than just a ceremony, it became an unforgettable experience, a memory preserved in light as much as in photographs.

Sara and Scott’s wedding day wasn’t just lovely and special, it was luminous! And thanks to the golden Maui light, every single image glows with the story of two people who have built a life together and chose to begin this new chapter wrapped in warmth.
Congratulations to you both! We are honored to have brought your dream wedding day to life!

Some families collect postcards. Others collect seashells. The Datello-Byrnes family? They collect memories in the form of Kauai family portraits on the island’s golden shores. And honestly, it’s the most beautiful tradition. Visiting from Albany, NY, this family of four returned to the island for their fourth portrait session with Karma Hill Photography. Their story
