When it comes to soulmates, we’re convinced Ashley and Brian are the real deal. Eight years together, one surprise proposal in Hawaii, and a wedding day that unfolded like dream on the shores of Maluaka Beach, this is exactly why we love Maui wedding photography.
Ashley is a medical coder (read: brilliant) and Brian works for Enterprise (a logistics wizard). Together, they’ve built a life full of quiet joy, deep connection, and one very spoiled pup named Nala (who, according to them, basically runs the household!). So we were delighted to capture their incredible dream day in a place that means so much to them…
A Place We Adore
They first visited Hawaii two years ago and fell hard for the islands, the spirit, the kindness, the light. So when Brian surprised Ashley with a beachside proposal in June 2023, it only made sense they’d return to Hawaii for their wedding. And we’re so glad they did!
Maluaka Beach gave us everything: soft golden light, a salty breeze, crashing waves, and just enough magic to make time feel like it stood still. Their ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, surrounded by loved ones and framed by the warm blues of the Pacific.
Ashley’s bouquet? A dream. Brian’s soft tan suit? Impeccably coastal. And the way they looked at each other? Like two people who knew this moment was exactly where they were meant to be.
Our style of photography leans into those in-between, real moments, the laughter, the hand squeezes, the glowy forehead kisses. With Ashley and Brian, those moments came naturally.
Celebrating With Our Loved Ones
After their sweet ceremony on Maluaka Beach, they enjoyed a some cake right on the beach with their guests. And cake on a beach? We are always here for that! The petal
Afterwards, we wandered along the shore with the newlyweds, capturing the soft golden glow that Maui does best. Ashley’s dress flowed with the breeze like it had choreography of its own, and Brian couldn’t stop smiling at her (yes, we noticed, and yes, it melted us).
Their newlywed portraits were equal parts romantic and relaxed. Barefoot in the sand, stealing kisses as the tide came in, every image felt like a chapter from the best kind of love story. The kind where you just know the couple is a forever love. The ocean blues made their love feel cinematic, and the soft pastel sky was the ultimate backdrop.
These sunset portraits weren’t just pretty (though, trust us, they are jaw-droppingly gorgeous), they were them. Two best friends, finally married, wrapped in sunshine and love and a little saltwater breeze. The kind of moments you want to frame and stare at forever…
