Last week, we met up with two dynamic families on the sandy shores of DT Fleming Beach. We had a great time capturing these beautiful, lighthearted, and joyful Maui beach portraits. The Bones and Dilsavers are a family of fifteen visiting the island from the Bay Area and Phoenix, Arizona! This session wasn’t our first time meeting these charming people either. Before, when they visited Maui in 2018, we had the opportunity to capture their portraits! It was such a pleasure to relax with them again and see how much their lovely family has grown!

The Location for their Maui Beach Portraits

Setting the scene for this session was the sandy shores of DT Fleming Beach. This Northwest Maui spot was the perfect backdrop for these portraits because of its stunning scenery. You can see how the azure waves, golden sand, and striking lava rock formations make every shot feel more magical! Although heavy clouds hung in the sky, the sun still naturally enhanced the brilliance of every photo. However, our favorite thing about this location is the rainbow. It created a dreamy ambiance for the picture!

We adore how our family dressed for their Maui beach portraits. Everyone’s outfits are comfortable but elegant — ideal for this session! You can see how the different shades of blue balance with one another flawlessly. Then the off-white hues complement the cool tones elegantly. Most importantly, these colors contrast with the organic palette around them exquisitely!
