Love was in the air on the Big Island as Dylan and Chase celebrated a moment they’ll never forget! These two best friends, who met at Pepperdine University in September 2021, have been inseparable ever since. After dating for about three years and just finishing college together, they’re ready to embark on their next adventure: grad school. But before that, Dylan had one more surprise up his sleeve – a Big Island proposal portrait! And we were happy to make it happen!
Dylan couldn’t contain his excitement as he prepared to propose to Chase. The setting was perfect, with the soft colors of the sunset and the romantic lighting creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Chase, completely unaware of what was about to happen, was taken by surprise when she turned around to see Dylan on one knee, asking the big question. Her answer? A resounding yes!
The joy and love between them were palpable as they celebrated this special moment. Our photographer captured their happiness in a series of beautiful portraits, each one radiating their excitement and love for each other! Are they just the cutest together?

Dylan and Chase are over the moon about their engagement and can’t wait to celebrate this new chapter in their lives! Our photographer made sure to capture all the incredible natural elements of the beach, from the lava rocks, black sand, and palm trees. There’s really nothing quite like newly engaged bliss is there?! These two couldn’t look more overjoyed and excited in these enchanting portraits by the water’s edge…
But the surprises didn’t end there! As they headed to the Canoe House restaurant to celebrate, Chase’s family showed up unexpectedly, champagne in tow! Neither had any idea either! added another layer of joy to an already perfect day. It was the best surprise ever, a beautiful reminder of the love and support that surrounds them!
