Big Island proposal portrait sessions don’t get more romantic than this. Some love stories start with grand romantic gestures. Others start with a party, a random parking lot encounter, and a little bit of fate. For Eric and Jasmin, it was the latter, and honestly, that makes it all the more perfect.
Eric was hosting a party at his apartment complex when Jasmin happened to drop off a friend who lived in the same building. As she pulled up, Eric, being the smooth, social host, invited them both inside. They said yes. Thirty minutes later, Jasmin knocked on his door. They started talking and quickly discovered something magical: they were both therapists. Cue instant, contagious conversation and that unmistakable feeling of this might be something.
After a brief two-week pause, they crossed paths again, this time at a bar. Jasmin approached first, asked if Eric remembered her (he pretended not to, which we have to admire), and from there, it was undeniable. Within days, she was visiting him daily. They talked for hours, night after night. And on June 14th, they made it official.
Exactly one year later, Eric led Jasmin to the rocky shoreline of the Big Island. With family nearby and our photographer in full paparazzo mode, he got down on one knee. She said yes. And the moment was absolutely perfect!
The sunset that evening felt like it was in on the celebration, soft pastels melting into golden light, the ocean glowing, and every bit of joy shining through their faces. Our photographer captured it all: the surprise, the laughter, the happy tears, and the pure beauty of a love story that truly feels like fate.
The sky slowly shifted from soft blush pinks to golden honey tones, melting into warm lavender streaks as the waves gently crashed behind them. The cliffs glowed in the evening light, wrapping their newly engaged joy in a quiet kind of magic. Our photographer captured every bit of it: the genuine laughter, the happy tears, and the peaceful glow that settled around them like a blessing.
Congratulations, Eric and Jasmin! Your story is just beginning, and it’s already so beautiful.
