Maui holds a special place in the Iwatas’ hearts, and their recent visit was so special for many reasons, as you’ll find out! They started coming to the island as a couple in 2003 and have been returning ever since. After having their two children, Katelyn and Jackson, they continued to bring them to Maui until 2018. During their recent trip, they decided it was time for a long-overdue Maui family portrait session, and we’d have to agree, knowing their history of visiting the island! They were beyond thrilled to be back on the beach and under the sunshine…their big smiles say it all!
Happy To Be Back
We had the pleasure of capturing this special moment on one island’s beautiful beaches, Southside Beach. The bright morning sun created a vibrant and contrasty look in their portraits, perfectly accentuating the family’s happy energy. We captured all the smiles and laughter, creating beautiful memories that will last a lifetime!
During their Maui family portrait session, we took advantage of the beach’s beautiful corners, creating a variety of backdrops for their portraits. From the palm trees, lava rocks, and tropical foliage, there were endless opportunities for their portraits which will be happily shared in their home, especially since these are much overdue! Although, you can’t bottle up aloha, but you certainly can bring home a piece of paradise with Maui family portraits!
Maui is very special to the Iwata’s; both of their children were baptized on Ka’anapali Beach! No wonder the island holds so much significance for them! It was heartwarming to see how much they love Maui and how much Maui loves them back…
