Golden Rays – The McKelvie Ohana’s Kauai Family Portraits

We were thrilled to welcome the McKelvies back to Hawaii and capture their Kauai family portraits at Waimea Bay. We had the opportunity to frame this awesome crew in our lens three years ago for their visit to Maui, so it was extra special to see them against a different backdrop. And what a backdrop it was! Golden hardly begins to describe it!

The Kauai Family Portraits

We met up with the McKelvies at the Waimea Plantation Cottages, and the action started right away! With two brilliant and beautiful girls under their wings, Mom and Dad were full of smiles! Their oldest is fourteen and incredibly creative with a natural talent for writing. The youngest is a ball full of energy and a whiz at math! And both girls share a secret talent… they’re incredibly photogenic!

Mom and Dad visited Kauai twenty years ago for their honeymoon. They’ve been to Maui several times since, but this is their first time returning to Kauai. So of course we had to capture the special moment with Kauai Family Portraits! 

The McKelvies wanted casual photos that captured the personalities of their girls… and we’d call this a success and thensome! These photos are alive and radiant!
