We recently planned the sweetest Maui portrait proposal for the most adorable couple with our sister company, Simple Maui Wedding! Saahil had been preparing for this moment for quite some time, and the moment finally arrived! Although they picked out the ring together, Kait had no idea when he would pop the question on their vacation – let alone in a stunning flower circle!
Our photographer hid in the bushes, waiting for the right time to pop out, yet allowing them to savor the moment… Kait knew something was up when they arrived at the beach! Saahil led her to the center of the flower circle just as the sun was setting and asked her the question that would forever change their lives! And she said yes! Her genuine joy was priceless…we are so happy to have captured this precious moment for them both!
A West Side Story
Saahil and Kait affectionately call each other “Maria and Tony,” as she’s a huge fan of West Side Story. We were so touched by the thoughtfulness Saahil put into his Maui portrait proposal, from the tropical flower circle to the “Just Engaged” sign. “I’m looking forward to capturing her smile, excitement, and tears of joy when she sees the floral arrangement and gets proposed to by me!” he said before the proposal…so sweet!
He was so excited for the raw emotion and the natural beauty surrounding them…it was picture-perfect! As big outdoor and nature lovers, South Maluaka Beach on Maui’s south West Side was the perfect setting for this special moment… of course, it would have to be on the West Side for these two!
