We are so honored to have been a part of Amanda and John’s Maui Wedding! It was one of those very rare rainy days on Maui where rain was pouring over the entire island all day. We consider rain a blessing, as it is much needed for our drinking water and the health of the land, but when you want to have a beach wedding, it can literally put a damper on your fun. 

Lucky for Amanda and John, they had a little help from some wedding angels as the rain let up just a few moments before their ceremony and held off until their couple’s photos were ending. The fact that it started back up again was also a blessing because just look at the photos at the end with the rain highlighted in the camera flash. So epic!

Amanda wanted to do a first look before the ceremony and we just love John’s reaction to his beautiful bride!

Believe it or not, these two commute hundreds of miles to be together each week. They both have three kids each, three girls and three boys (a real life Brady bunch according to them :). Not wanting to disrupt their kids sports and school they stay in their cities and make the drive every week to see each other. If that is not romance and dedication, we don’t know what is!

One of the good things about rain on your wedding day in Maui is that you get an almost totally empty beach! This usually bustling location was all but a ghost town that evening.

We are kind of obsessed with this shot, the rain almost looks like stars in the night sky. Proving it was in the stars for these two to find each other 🙂 Thank you so much Amanda and John for trusting us with your wedding memories, we were honored to have been your Maui Wedding Photographers!
