There’s something about Waialae Beach that feels like it was made for family magic. Maybe it’s the palm trees swaying, waves shimmering just enough to tempt sandy toes, and the kind of breeze that carries giggles better than sound.
Enter the Hinotes: a close-knit, joyful crew of four who brought all the heart and a whole lot of energy to their Oahu family portrait session.
Mistie and John had visited the island before (30th birthdays! Iconic!), and this time, they were staying with family, making the trip even more special. But the stars of the show? Jake and Ella, of course!
Jake, 11, was an absolute riot, funny, sweet, and a total vibe of his own. There was even an impromptu hula dance to boot! Ella, 9, radiated that fearless, beach-loving energy, ready to explore, pose, and sprint toward the waves with sparkly determination.
They were in their element with salty breezes in their hair and toes in the sand. We chased light, splashed a little (okay, a lot), and captured the kind of joyful chaos that only comes from kids who truly love life and parents who love watching it unfold. They brought the energy, we captured it all. We love capturing families like the Hinotes because they know how to let loose and pose naturally in true Hawaiian style!
